About the Role

Our client is seeking an MS SQL Database Administrator to join their team. This full-time position requires an individual with 4+ years of experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MS SQL Server operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and must be willing to work in rotational shifts.

Job Location

PAN India (Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai) - Candidates can choose to work from any one of these locations.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain MS SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.

Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.

Monitor database performance and conduct regular health checks.

Provide production support and resolve database-related issues promptly.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and structures.

Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Participate in database upgrades and migrations as needed.

Required Skills

4+ years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.

Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Experience with backup and recovery processes in SQL Server.

Proficient in monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server operations.

Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and related tools.

Ability to work in rotational shifts and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SQL Server clustering and replication.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or T-SQL.

Familiarity with cloud-based SQL Server solutions.

Qualifications
