You’ll be our: Motor Engineer
You’ll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru

What you’ll do at Ather

• Understand and compare motor technologies (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Brushless DC Motor (BLDC), Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM), Induction Motor (IM)) from vendors

• Analyze, Investigate and prioritize tasks/bugs/RCAs for ensuring timely project execution

• Work with other functional engineering groups on motor interfaces

• Represent engineering team in cross functional design reviews 

• Liaise with suppliers to meet internal release and testing milestones

• Work with Module lead to deliver milestones
  
  
  

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Strong fundamentals of electrical engineering

• Strong understanding of various synchronous motors and their design principles

• Know how of field oriented control for synchronous and asynchronous motor operation

• Knowledge of voltage source inverter architectures and operating principles for electric motors

• Electromagnetics - Finite element analysis. Tools: Ansys Maxwell, JMAG, Altair Flux, Comsol etc.

What you bring to Ather:

• B-Tech/M-Tech in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering

• 3 to 7 years of experience working with on consumer/industrial/automotive motors
