Mortgage Processor

Key Responsibilities:

• Post Cash items to MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform), including Payoffs, Payments received in office, Cash Reversals
• Respond to Cash questions via our internal cash chat from Customer Relations and other internal departments
• Review Cash Management email inbox and respond to questions/requests
• Process assigned Tasks via MSP (Corporate Advance Creation, Funds Application, Reversal, Generate Specialty Payoff Quotes)
• Review Daily Edit Reject and Reversal Reports and perform appropriate actions per the job procedure
• Process Stop Payments on MSP Disbursements
• Review daily reports and process according to job procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

The Candidate should have MSP experience.

Essential Skills: Essential to success in this role as a Mortgage Underwriter, the candidate must satisfy the following requirements:

Experience: minimum 2-8 years underwriting residential mortgage loans with demonstrable proficiency in understanding underwriting guidelines and an understanding of mortgage loan regulatory compliance

Computer Skills: strong background with the use of computer programs used to manufacture or review mortgage loans and standard knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite.

Desirable Attributes: Candidates demonstrating the following attributes will have an increased chance of success in the role:

Servicing review experience

Familiarity with credit rating agency review standards

Strong written communication skills

Bachelors or masters degree preferred

Soft skills: Time management, thoughtfulness, reason, and problem solving, and professional communication
