Job Brief :
We are looking for a Montessori Teacher to join our team!
We are an educational NGO that is dedicated to providing a high-quality education to our
students at our learning centre Greenwood Learning Centre. We are looking for a facilitator/teacher who is passionate about Montessori education and who is able to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for our students at our Community Learning Centre on Sarjapur Road, Bangalore.
Job Responsibilities :
  • Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
  • Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
  • Developing lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods that cater to the needs of the individual child.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued. Plan, prepare and maintain all units of study including Montessori materials, thematic units, library books, etc.
  • Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
  • Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
  • Updating records on the school database and handling various other administrative tasks.
  • Participating in school activities, coordinating with guest facilitators, and accompanying students on field trips.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents and the school community to provide general assistance
Requirements and Skills:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in education, preferably with concentration in early childhood education and/or a diploma in Montessori Education
  • Experience in a Montessori environment of at least 2 years
  • Good practical knowledge of Montessori materials and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Having the physical capacity to work with pre-school/Kindergarten aged children.
  • Interest or experience in managing community-libraries, nature education, tinkering- labs/makerspaces will be an advantage
