SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 Proficient in the use of NoSQL database in High Availability and fault tolerance environment(MongoDB) - Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience - Upgrades of MongoDB, Database Migrations, Storage engine migration and Updates and application of database patches - Backup and restores, Export and Import of Data to and From MongoDB, Run time configuration of MongoDB - Monitoring at Server, Database, Collection Level, and Various Monitoring Tools related to MongoDB, - Maintains standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration - Creates/maintains backup and recovery strategies on Database Management Systems - Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data - Installs, configures and maintains High Availability - Replication server solutions - Good Knowledge MongoDB CRUD Operations, Aggregation, Indexing, Primary, Secondary and Arbiter node concepts and elections and The MongoShell - Good Experience with Mongo ReplicaSet. - Good Experience with Mongo sharing - Troubleshoots alerts (alert log, Jobs, Disk Group, Tablespace etc.) and performance issues. Performs database performance tuning tasks - Implements multiple projects along with the Production Support - Good knowledge of Instance, database and query tuning to improve the performance of the database/application - Able to Identify long running queries and should be able to suggest the best indexes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Knowledge of Database Architecture and its implementation Good knowledge of Windows/Linux/Solaris operating systems and shell scripting Good understanding of Change Management procedures Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties Ability to work independently Ability to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations Ability to effectively consult with Project managers and leaders
