IFC Ventures is a fast-growing consumer brands company building digital-first and premium skincare brands in India. We are scaling our presence across Modern Trade (MT), General Trade (GT), supermarkets, and large-format retail chains and are looking for an experienced onboarding consultant to accelerate listings and distribution.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Modern Trade & GT Onboarding Consultant with proven experience in listing skincare/cosmetics brands across national and regional retail chains . The role focuses on end-to-end onboarding , from commercial negotiations to system listings, compliance, and go-live execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead onboarding of skincare & cosmetic products across Modern Trade, General Trade, supermarkets, and regional retail chains
Manage listings with national MT accounts (e.g., Reliance Smart, Reliance Trends, Spencers, Metro Cash & Carry, More Retail, DMart, Wellness Forever, Apollo Pharmacy, Guardian, Health & Glow, etc.)
Drive GT onboarding via distributors, super stockists, and regional trade networks
Handle commercial discussions , including margins, schemes, visibility fees, listing fees, and trade terms
Coordinate SKU master creation , barcode mapping, MRP structuring, case configurations, and pack hierarchy
Ensure compliance with FSSAI / CDSCO / Legal Metrology / cosmetic regulations where applicable
Liaise with internal teams on pricing, supply chain readiness, demand forecasting, and launch timelines
Track onboarding progress from first pitch to shelf placement
Support post-listing optimization: planograms, visibility, promotions, and seasonal launches
Advise on GT vs MT go-to-market strategy , city prioritization, and channel mix
Key Skills & Expertise Required
Strong experience in Modern Trade onboarding & GT expansion
Proven background in skincare, cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, or beauty brands
Deep understanding of MT commercial structures, trade margins, schemes, and negotiations
Hands-on experience with distributor onboarding and GT channel setup
Knowledge of retail compliance, product documentation, SKU onboarding processes
Ability to work independently and drive multiple listings in parallel
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Comfortable working with fast-growing D2C/digital-first brands
