Middleware Architect

Job Description

The primery skill for this would be expected to be multiple middleware technologies like IBM MQ, Datapower, IBM (WAS) WebSphere Application Server as well as if cross skilled on job scheduling tool like Control-M

This is to broadly undrestand the scope of migration and do migraiton planning for multiple middleware technologies.

Primarily understand customers landscape its design from dependency perspective, initegrations with other middleware platforms/databases and applications, MW apps criticality and the move grouping structure to go together for migratoin. Building runbook and Hr – by- Hr palns for server migration execution and provide input to overall plan. Pre/Post checks validataions for migration execution and handover to BAU after application testing done by NM app/dev teams. Change mangement procedurs for migration and rollback cases. Overall, the candidate should have migratoin experiece on multiple middleware technologies.

Role & Responsibilities

1. SME for Middleware Application Server, Web Server, Messaging Server Architecture and administration.
2. Design, develop and implement automation APIs and scripts within tight timescales.
3. Developing new solution, POV & POC on middleware modernization
4. Participating in demo session on new solution.
5. Participating in sales team enablement session.
6. Learning new technologies within short time span and utilize the knowledge to develop future middleware solution.
7. Work along with Wipro’s partner and develop joint solution on middleware technologies.
8. Knowledge transfer to delivery & account team on new offering & solution. 
9. Ensure processes and procedures are strictly adhered to.
10. Security compliance
11. Co-ordination with interfacing team

Profile:

1. Middleware application, web & messaging server administration & architect
2. Should be expert in managing middleware platform using CLI
3. Having in depth knowledge of middleware patching process
4. Expertise in outbound and inbound SSL certificate implementation
5. Should be acquainted multiple middleware technologies
6. Automation and scripting
7. Experience in driving automation project
8. Participating in Knowledge Transfer activities

Skills:

• Good hands on experience on multiple middleware technology - (but not limited to) IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, RedHat JBoss, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, IIS, nginx.
• Having experience in middleware engineering & project delivery.
• Middleware solution architect
• Knowledge in python, shell scripting, configuration management tools (ansible, puppet etc) desirable
• Middleware infrastructure automation
