Microsoft Purview Specialist to lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing operations of Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and risk management. The role will focus on enabling discovery, classification, data lifecycle management, and compliance monitoring across cloud and on-premises environments. Key Responsibilities Implementation Phase Lead the end-to-end deployment of Microsoft Purview across the enterprise. Integrate Purview with data sources (Azure, M365, SQL, Power BI, SaaS apps, on-premises systems). Configure data classification, labeling, and cataloging policies. Work with compliance and governance teams to align Purview implementation with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.). Define and implement sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data loss prevention (DLP) rules. Establish access controls, role-based permissions, and workflows for stakeholders. Operations Phase Manage the day-to-day operations of Purview, ensuring smooth functioning and scalability. Monitor and optimize data scanning, classification accuracy, and catalog performance. Support data owners, analysts, and compliance officers in using Purview for discovery and reporting. Generate dashboards, compliance reports, and audit logs for regulators and stakeholders. Manage incident handling related to data governance, privacy violations, and insider risks. Conduct regular health checks, upgrades, and integrations with other Microsoft security/compliance tools (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID).
