Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Microsoft Fabric Intern to join our Data Analytics team. This internship is ideal for candidates who want to gain hands-on experience in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric while working on real-world data analytics projects. The intern will assist in building dashboards, transforming data, and understanding modern data platform concepts such as Lakehouse and Data Warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Reports & Dashboards

• Assist in building interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
• Create visuals such as charts, tables, slicers, and KPIs to present insights.
• Ensure reports are user-friendly and aligned with business requirements.

DAX Data Analysis Expressions

• Write basic DAX measures and calculated columns.
• Support in creating KPIs and business metrics.
• Learn and apply functions such as SUM, COUNT, CALCULATE, and FILTER.

Power Query Data Transformation

• Connect to data sources such as Excel, CSV, and SQL databases.
• Clean and transform data using Power Query.
• Perform tasks such as removing duplicates, renaming columns, and merging datasets.

SQL Querying & Joins

• Write SQL queries using SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, and ORDER BY.
• Work with different types of joins (INNER, LEFT, RIGHT).
• Use aggregate functions such as SUM, COUNT, and AVG.

Data Modeling Concepts

• Understand Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Work with fact and dimension tables.
• Assist in building relationships between datasets for reporting.

Power BI Service Publishing & Sharing

• Publish reports to Power BI Service.
• Support in managing workspaces and report sharing.
• Learn about data refresh and report access management.

Data Gateways

• Understand the purpose of On-Premises Data Gateway.
• Assist in connecting Power BI to on-premise data sources.

Microsoft Fabric Introduction

• Gain exposure to Microsoft Fabric and its components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
• Understand how organizations use Fabric for unified analytics.

Lakehouse & Data Warehouse Core Concepts

• Learn the fundamentals of data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architecture.
• Understand how data moves from raw to business-ready formats.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Power BI and dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with SQL queries and relational databases.
• Understanding of data visualization and analytics concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and data handling.
• Interest in data analytics, BI tools, and modern data platforms.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech / B.E. (CS, IT), BCA, MCA, B.Sc (IT/Data Science), or MBA (Analytics).
• Final-year students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
