Position Overview

As a D365 Business Central Developer, you will collaborate closely with functional and technical consultants to design, develop, and enhance extensions for Microsoft D365 Business Central, with a particular emphasis on e-commerce business processes, OMS (Order Management System), WMS (Warehouse Management System), finance modules, and seamless integrations. Your expertise will help drive innovation in digital commerce operations, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant solutions for our e-commerce platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement extensions and customisations in Microsoft D365 Business Central using AL and the Power Platform, tailored for e-commerce environments.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirementsincluding e-commerce, OMS, WMS, finance modules, P2P, and O2C processesinto technical specifications and solutions.
• Integrate Business Central with custom-built web and app solutions via APIs and webhooks, ensuring seamless flow of data across platforms.
• Take ownership of the codebase transitioned from outsourced teams and ensure continued optimisation, documentation, and enhancement.
• Perform thorough quality assurance testing and validation of developed solutions, including automated test scripts for new and existing extensions.
• Configure systems, create test data, and support extension implementation and testing within D365 Business Central.
• Stay up-to-date with e-commerce industry trends and best practices to ensure solutions remain competitive and compliant.
• Document new functions and provide training to functional and technical consultants.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledgeboth functional and technicalof Microsoft D365 Business Central, especially in e-commerce applications.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central; 3+ years AL development experience, including DevOps, Git, and Docker.
• Proven ability to optimise code and perform performance tuning within D365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV.
• Demonstrated experience integrating Business Central with external web/app platforms via APIs and webhooks.
• Strong understanding of OMS and WMS processes, finance modules, and e-commerce business operations.
• Experience with multiple successful implementations of D365 Business Central, preferably in fast-paced or high-volume e-commerce settings.
• Quick learner, able to master new business processes or applications efficiently.
• Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
• Desire to learn, grow, and consistently exceed both internal and client expectations.
