Job Description

The Technical Designer for Management Information and Reporting will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that enable accurate, timely, and secure reporting across the enterprise. This role requires expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, cloud platforms, and reporting tools to deliver a unified and scalable data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition & Integration

    • Design and implement ETL workflows using tools like Matillion to acquire, transform, and load data from different sources into Snowflake. Ensure data lineage and reconciliation across all data pipelines. Develop unified data models and star schemas to support enterprise reporting and analytics. Optimize data structures for performance and scalability in Snowflake. Build and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Publish and handle datasets for self-service analytics.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure

    • Work with AWS and Azure environments for data storage, compute, and security.
    • Implement Control-M for job scheduling and orchestration of data workflows.

  • Governance & Security

    • Apply security controls for data access and compliance. Handle metadata and documentation for all data assets.Ensure data accuracy through reconciliation processes. Maintain audit trails and implement to meet regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Good experience with Snowflake, ETL tools like Abnitio / Matillion / Datastage, and ETL design.
  • Proficiency in Control-M for scheduling and automation.
  • Expertise in Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling principles (star schema, Dimensional modelling).
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and security standards.
  • Ability to design and document data flows ensuring transparency and lineage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial or risk reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with data cataloging tools and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
