Metrics and Reporting Team Lead

EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
The Metrics and Reporting Team Lead partners closely across the Security Technology Services (STS) organization and Information Security. Will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of security metrics and reporting frameworks within the organization.
This role involves leading a team of analysts to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports, as well as the analysis of data to identify trends and insights that drive business decisions.
Your key responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the Metrics and Reporting team, establishing goals, evaluating performance, and promoting career growth.
- Work in partnership with organizational stakeholders to determine and prioritize requirements for data analysis and representation.
- Design and develop intuitive and interactive data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Supervise the gathering, processing, and examination of data from diverse sources to confirm its precision and applicability.
- Apply leading practices in data representation and maintain uniformity in all reporting deliverables.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends in data analysis and reporting techniques.
- Produce and update documentation outlining reporting processes and the definitions of key metrics.
- Guide and educate team members on data analysis, visualization excellence, and the utilization of analytical software.
- Lead initiatives to develop innovative analytics solutions, ensuring they are completed on schedule and meet high-quality standards.
Skills and attributes for success
- Conceptual knowledge of security applications and technologies, as well as operating system platforms including Cloud technologies
- Proficiency in Azure Cloud services, with a strong understanding of Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Sentinel
- Experience with developing managing reporting leveraging SQL databases, scripting and API configuration and management
- Analytical acumen and solution orientation to provide recommendations to teams and leaders in support of avoiding financial, operational, and security risks to EY and our customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of a matrixed, geographically and culturally dispersed organization
- Possess knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to drive compliance in Incident, Problem, and Change processes and drive as necessary.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 8 - 10 years working within Information Technology in a global firm
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory
- Proficiency in data analysis programming or scripting languages, such as Python (with libraries like pandas, NumPy) or PowerShell
- Experience with Azure SQL and database management systems for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Certifications in data visualization or analytics platforms.
