Role OverviewWe are seeking a Mesh Network Engineer to design, develop, and optimize robust mesh and edge networking solutions for connected dashcam systems. This role is critical in ensuring reliable data transmission, low-latency communication, and scalability across distributed vehicular and edge devices operating in challenging real-world environments.
You will work closely with AI, firmware, hardware, and cloud teams to enable seamless connectivity for video, sensor, and AI-generated data.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement mesh network architectures for edge devices, dashcams, and vehicular systems
- Optimize network performance for low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance
- Develop networking solutions supporting AI/Computer Vision workloads (video streaming, inference metadata, alerts)
- Work with protocols such as Wi-Fi Mesh, LTE/5G, Ethernet, MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP
- Analyze and improve network reliability in mobile and constrained environments
- Collaborate with embedded Linux and firmware teams for driver-level and OS-level optimizations
- Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot real-time connectivity issues in production deployments
- Support secure communication using encryption, authentication, and device provisioning
- Contribute to architecture documentation and scalability planning
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Networking, or related field
- 48 years of experience in network engineering, mesh networking, or distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and performance tuning
- Experience working with AI, Computer Vision systems, IoT, or edge devices
- Hands-on experience with embedded Linux environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with cloud-connected edge architectures
- Experience with vehicular networks or automotive systems
- Exposure to real-time video streaming and edge AI pipelines
- Understanding of network security best practices
- Experience working in hardware-software integrated products
