Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Production cum Merchandiser to manage end-to-end production workflows-from sample development to order fulfilment. The role demands strong coordination between suppliers, artisans/vendors, sampling teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality production.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan, schedule and monitor production activities to meet delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with artisans, factories, and vendors for raw material sourcing, sampling and manufacturing.
- Maintain production calendars, daily follow-ups and status updates.
- Oversee quality checks at different stages and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Track inventory of raw materials, trims and finished goods.
Merchandising
- Assist with sample development based on buyer/brand requirements.
- Prepare and share tech packs, costing sheets and BOMs.
- Handle PO management, approvals and delivery schedules.
- Maintain clear documentation - order sheets, vendor lists, packaging instructions etc.
- Ensure packaging and branding guidelines are followed for dispatch.
Vendor Coordination & Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artisans, suppliers and logistics partners.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and MOQs while balancing cost and quality.
- Resolve production-related challenges proactively.
Logistics & Dispatch
- Coordinate with warehouse/logistics for shipping, quality checks, packing and dispatch.
- Track shipments and ensure accurate fulfilment of orders.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of production timelines, materials and garment/accessory manufacturing processes
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Solid knowledge of costing, BOM and merchandising documentation
- Excellent communication, follow-up and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets & basic ERP (preferred)
Qualifications
- Graduate in Fashion/Production Management/Textiles/Merchandising or related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in fashion, accessories, craft-based or textile production
- Employment Type: Full-time
