Product: The evolution of Vymo as a product can be broadly divided into three phases

1. Lead and Activity Management: We provided a mobile-first lead and activity management tool

that enabled large enterprises with distributed field sales teams to digitize their sales processes

and get real time visibility into their team’s productivity.

2. Sales Engagement Platform: We built capabilities like nudges, goals, playbooks, performance

dashboards etc that enabled large financial institutions to improve their business outcomes

(faster time to convert, higher sales, increased productivity etc).

3. Distribution Management Platform: We are currently in this phase. With a significant increase in

the number of apps an average seller uses to perform their day-to-day business activities,

Financial institutions are looking to consolidate their tech stack. In addition, we realize that we

have an opportunity to become an insurance “core system” by owning the end-to-end advisor

life cycle - recruitment, onboarding, training, selling, engagement and performance

Position: Member of Technical Staff (MTS) – Android Developer

Location: Bengaluru

Experience Level: 1–3 years

Department: Product Engineering – Mobile App Development

As an Android Developer (MTS) at Vymo, you'll be part of the team that's redefining how enterprise mobile apps are built. You'll contribute to our Android app used by thousands of on-the-ground sales professionals every day. This is a great opportunity for early-career developers looking to sharpen their skills while working on high-impact features used at scale.

What You'll Do:

Build and maintain robust, scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Core Java.

Develop clean and testable code using MVVM architecture and modern development practices.

Work with tools like Room and WorkManager to ensure smooth offline and background operations.

Implement engaging UIs that follow Material Design principles for a seamless user experience.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Product, Design, and QA — to deliver product features on time. Participate in peer code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve quality and velocity. Stay ahead of the curve on the Android ecosystem, libraries, and tools.

What We're Looking For:

Must-Have:

Kotlin: Proficient, with hands-on experience in production apps.

Core Java: Intermediate-level knowledge with practical use in Android.

MVVM Architecture: Real-world experience using ViewModel, LiveData, etc.

Working knowledge of Room, WorkManager, and Material Design Components.

Experience in API integration, local storage, and background sync mechanisms.

Comfortable working with Git/Bitbucket and agile methodologies.

Good to Have:

Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.

Basic understanding of app performance tuning and testing (unit/UI tests).

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and app release processes.
