Job Title: Background Verification (Screening & Vetting)

Date: January 11th, 2026

Timings: 10:00 AM 12:30 PM

Venue: Rodas Enclave, Park Ln, Hiranandani Estate, Thane West, Thane, Maharashtra



Shift: Should be comfortable with Night Shift & 24x7 Rotational Support. Work from Office only

Experience Required: 1-6 years

Should be flexible with night shifts & rotation shifts


Overview

The associate is responsible for overseeing and executing complex background verification processes for prospective and current employees, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards. This role involves handling escalations, mentoring junior associates, and driving process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.


Role Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end background verification for high-volume or complex cases (UK region).

Review and validate checks completed by Process Associates for accuracy and compliance.

Handle escalations and discrepancies, providing resolution or escalation to governance teams.

Liaise with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of verifications.

Monitor adherence to GDPR and other regulatory requirements.

Prepare and analyze reports on verification status and process performance.

Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and turnaround time.

Mentor and support junior team members in handling verification tasks.

Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive candidate data.

Coordinate with the hiring manager, governance team for executing the BGV checks


Qualification

1-6 years of experience

Bachelors degree (Any Stream)

Proven experience in background verification, HR administration, or related roles

Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements related to employment screening

Prior experience working with background screening vendors.

Demonstrate ability and integrity when working with confidential data

Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and coordination skills

Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, or background screening software.

Problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
