Overview:
Commissions Manager for GISC is responsible for preparing and/or reviewing monthly/quarterly commissions and bonuses for internal and external partners. Commissions Supervisor utilizes their experience handling more complicated commission issues based on complexity, number of transactions, or risk. Commissions Supervisor collaborates with business partners to effectively respond to queries, analyzes root causes and provides solutions (short term and permanent fixes). Commissions Supervisor acts in a lead role assisting management in the oversight of complex projects and the direction/guidance of other Commissions team member including reviewing work products ensuring accuracy and compliance. Commissions Supervisor identifies opportunities for process improvements, which may include leveraging system solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Directly supervise the commission processing team
Execute daily activities and analyses accurately with minimal instruction and oversight
Thoroughly understand the commission calculations and plans for assigned areas
Lead conversations and documentation of functional requirements of compensation plans including updates and enhancements as required for compensation plan changes
Develop and implement process improvements to increase Commissions team efficiency, increase accuracy, and improve internal/external customer and partner experience
Liaise with various internal groups, such as Sales Ops, Channel Ops, and FP&A, to understand their inputs and needs
Perform SOX reviews at an appropriately detailed level noting any unexplained variances
Proactively identify, document, analyze, and resolve all complex reconciliation issues relating to (internal and external) commission calculations and payments
Perform root-cause analyses for issues identified during the analysis process, taking necessary corrective action and regularly communicating status updates
Lead documentation of SOX controls, processes, and data flows
Exceed metrics for Key Performance Indicators (e.g. SLAs)
Clearly communicate with key stakeholders (e.g. internal sales colleagues) in a positive and professional manner
Preemptively identify issues or other potential obstacles
Respond to audit and other ad-hoc requests in a timely manner with complete and accurate information
Audit monthly, quarterly, annual commissions and bonuses
Be the go to person for Commissions team members and sales field with any questions/ queries related to sales credits, revenue, quota attainment and payment
Actively participate in cross functional projects, acting as the Commissions lead and ensuring all Commissions requirements are accounted for and adequately tested
Provide coaching and mentoring for the team and conduct all related performance management activities
Fully participate in a culture of professionalism and collaboration to inspire an environment which is customer centric, responsive

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BS or BA degree in Accounting or Finance or combination of education and progressive related work experience will be considered
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None
Experience:
Worked on any leading industry Commission tools (SAP Callidus, IBM Varicent, Oracle OIC)
3+ years of managerial / supervisory experience
8+ years of progressive experience in Commissions, Accounting or Finance preferably in a large or public company
5+ years working with internal or external customers
Has experience as a Business Analyst and communicated Business Requirements to IT teams
Knowledge of MS Access
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organizational and time management skills for client servicing
Expert level skill set in MS Excel, knowledge of MS Access and other MS Office programs
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and progressive environment with emphasis on policies and process
Demonstrated skills in problem solving, applying analytical principles, documenting, researching issues, resolving problems, proving data analysis, and multi-tasking
Experience in managing IT-enabled projects including project and resource planning, conducting user activity testing (UAT) and issue resolution
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact in a professional manner across all levels within the organization
Ability to organize and summarize large volumes of detailed information without error
Open to and a champion for change
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Independently follow up on pending issues, take initiative and solve problems
