Role Overview

The Medical Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing and assessing individual case safety reports (ICSRs) in global safety databases to determine the medical relevance, seriousness, and possible relationship between the drug and reported adverse events.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical review of clinical, spontaneous, solicited, and literature adverse event cases
• Assess seriousness, causality, labeling, and medical accuracy of safety cases
• Review narratives, AE/SAE terms, suspect drugs, concomitant medications, lab data, and medical history
• Ensure compliance with global and local regulatory guidelines and SOP timelines
• Support Drug Safety teams with medical inputs and product-related guidance
• Generate, send, and track medical follow-up queries
• Review and respond to case-related queries in the safety database
• Support audits, internal reviews, and client discussions
• Provide medical input for SUSAR and other critical safety cases

Skills & Competencies

• Strong medical and clinical knowledge
• Understanding of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety processes
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, safety databases)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
