Position: Medical Gastroenterology - Assistant Professor

Designation required for: Assistant Professor

Skills required:

• Proficiency in diagnostic Upper and Lower GI endoscopy.
• Competency in performing basic therapeutics (including EVL, Dilatation, and Polypectomy) with minimal supervision.

Description of the job:

• Manage inpatient and outpatient care in a high-volume tertiary hospital.
• Lead clinical rounds, supervise postgraduate trainees, and participate in a 24/7 emergency GI bleed call rotation.
• Conduct clinical research in area of interest.
• Assist in DM Gastroenterology academic schedule and carry out teaching responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience required:

• Fresh graduates are eligible to apply.
• Experience in a high-volume tertiary care or academic center is preferred.

Additional Skills requirement:

• Strong inclination for clinical research and academic publishing.
• Interest or formal training in specialized areas (e.g., IBD, Hepatology, or Advanced Endoscopy) is highly welcomed.
• Experience in administrative aspects of gastroenterology will be viewed favourably.
• Good communication skills, understanding of medical ethics, and ability to work as a team.

Qualifications:

DM or DNB in Medical Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
