JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Corporate Communications professional specializing in Media Relations to execute external communications strategies, strengthen brand visibility, and support reputation management across media platforms including print, online, broadcast, and social media.
This role will help shape a consistent, credible, and differentiated external narrative aligned with the organizations broader communication and growth strategy. The role requires a proactive individual who works closely with internal stakeholders and manages the execution of media engagement initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Corporate Communication Media Relations
Media Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media professionals to secure earned media coverage.
Content Coordination
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the content team for drafting and finalizing communication materials intended for media release.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage consistently with internal teams to understand communication priorities and media opportunities.
Execution of Media Plans
- Develop and execute media communication plans, including arranging interviews, coordinating press interactions, and preparing media coverage reports.
Crisis Management
- Monitor potential negative coverage and coordinate strategic responses to protect organizational reputation.
Media Monitoring
- Track media coverage metrics and evaluate the impact of communication efforts.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, PR, and digital teams to align messaging and promote the organizations public image.
MAJOR CHALLENGES
- Expanding media relationships beyond core business journalists to include regional media, city reporters, and feature writers.
- Managing coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with cross-functional teams to gather information, obtain approvals, and organize media engagements.

Graduate with 10+ years of experience in communication consultancies and/or corporate communications, preferably within the BFSI sector.
