Mechanical Utility Supervisor

Planning and attending Predictive, breakdown maintenance along with analysis of the equipment and machinery of Board Machine 1 & 2, Paper and Components Dept. Pumps, blowers, Conveyors, pulpers, Refiners, agitators, vacuum pumps and pressure screen like Roller Conveyor and Belt Conveyors hydraulic press maintenance, Air Compressors, Pneumatic equipment maintenance like valves, cylinders and troubleshooting of the equipment production Machines.  

How you’ll make an impact

• Maintenance of documentation as specified by the Department’s rules and regulations.

• Allocation and control of manpower along with record of attendance, leave.

• Planning and attending Predictive, breakdown maintenance along with analysis of the utility equipment like Boilers (FBC, Reciprocating Grate and F.O boiler Operation). both Auto / Semi Auto and manual operations of Boiler) Boilers,DG and WTP(ETP/STP/RO/DM plant).

• Knowledge on maintenance of multistage pumps, Fuel and Ash handling system, Dust extraction systems, Bag Filter and Cyclomax, FD & ID fan and Belt Conveyors, Air Compressors, Pneumatic equipment maintenance, Condensate recovery system steam line maintenance and knowledge on Steam trap and Troubleshooting.  

• Assist towards improvement of productivity, cost reduction, energy reduction activities. 

• Responsible for the planning and installation and commission of any new equipment and machinery of the plant in co-ordination with OEM. 

• Selection of required equipment spares for maintenance purposes. 

• To support production to improve OEE by increasing machine availability.

• Responsible for Mechanical & Utility routine and non-routine maintenance & breakdown activities in shifts of all the plants & utilities.

• Spares planning, getting required estimation, creating PR in SAP, inspection of incoming material, Issuing MR and allocating that for required technical person. 

• SAP, Safety, Housekeeping, PMM, drawing preparation, estimation of job, 

• At emergency or on demand handling and helping other sections at Engg. department 

• Familiarization and Documentation of ISO 9001-2015, 14001,18001 & 45001 system and procedure. And safety work permit system.

• Attending TIER 1 & 2 Meetings, production meeting, training classes, and safety meeting 

• Supporting the required technical services on emergencies at irrespective of time. 

• Identification and Selection of required tools and tackles for equipment spare for maintenance purposes.

• To control documents and data pertaining to his area of work. 

• To maintain quality records in his area of work. 

• To install and commission plant and machinery and involve for the project work.

• To implement quality improvement projects, Kaizens. 4Q projects. 5’s Audit and Safety.

• To implement planned, preventive and break down maintenance system and planning for the Annual maintenance works each of Boiler. 

• To maintain statutory requirements pertaining to Dept. of Boiler as per IBR, environment, pollution control etc. 

• Select alternate and suitable process equipment in case of any breakdown.

• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

• Full time Regular Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge on computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook), Candidate having BOE certificate is added Advantage.

• Minimum relevant experience of 6 to7 years with total experience not exceeding10 years.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to evaluate and prioritize corrective maintenance requests /Ability to solve maintenance related problems.

• Ability to work without close supervision Self-motivated, aggressive & team oriented. Spending time on your feet walking or standing.

• Ability to work in shifts & general as per management requirement
