Mechanical Engineer-New Product Development

We are looking for a creative and passionate candidate to join our team as a Product Engineer. He/She will deliver relevant solutions to new and existing products through design calculations, risk assessment using first principles engineering, technical analyses/FMEA, and verification of the design. The Product Engineer will learn and utilize DFM/DFSS and other relevant engineering tools to deliver a high-quality, robust, and cost-effective design. He/She will partner cross-functionally to execute all aspects of product development.

What your background should look like:

• Research of existing and new materials and assessing them for suitability to the solution
• Create multiple designs for various prototyping and NPD projects
• Provide technical support in identifying new processes or improvement opportunities
• Undertaking relevant research using computer-aided design/simulation software
• Liaising with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff
• Analyzing test and failure data to identify opportunities to improve
• Keeping up to date with technological developments
• Maintain a high standard of compliance and ethics

Education/ Critical Experience

• BE /B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-4 years of demonstrated experience in the area of design, research, and innovation
• Accomplished design engineer in consumer product engineering
• Well-versed in using SolidWorks/Fusion part design, assembly, and surface modelling.
• Demonstrated ability in applying academic knowledge in professional projects
• Knowledge of design, materials, and manufacturing processes is added plus
• Candidates having prior experience in a new product development are preferred.
• Candidates having Injection molding, tool design knowledge, and material selection experience are preferred.
