Job Description

Mechanical Engineer High-Pressure Hydraulics/Pneumatics & Hydrogen Systems (3 Openings)

Company: NEOMETRIX DEFENCE LIMITED

Location: Noida, India (On-site)

Experience: 02 yrs (Freshers) / 310 yrs (Experienced) | Multiple levels (Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Lead)

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: High-pressure fluid systems, test rigs, hydrogen systems, export projects

Expected CTC : 3 - 10 Lakhs (As per skills and experience)

About the Role

We are hiring 3 mechanical engineers to design, build, test, and document export-grade high-pressure systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and hydrogen-related applications. This role is ideal for engineers who love core engineering, hands-on integration, rigorous safety thinking, and high-quality documentation.

You will work on challenging projects such as high-pressure skids, pneumatic/hydraulic circuits, test rigs, and hydrogen balance-of-plant systems, with strong focus on traceability and customer-ready documentation (FAT/SAT, manuals, as-built packs).

Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design
  • Design and develop hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and high-pressure systems (oil/gas) including component sizing and selection.
  • Perform core engineering calculations (examples: pressure drop/flow, relief sizing philosophy, wall thickness/safety margins, load/duty cycle reasoning).
  • Select and integrate components: pumps, valves, regulators, filters, accumulators, cylinders, instrumentation, fittings/tubing, seals, etc.
  • Create/maintain drawings and schematics (P&ID, circuit diagrams, GA, assembly drawings), BOMs, and as-built updates.
  • Support manufacturing/assembly with clear build instructions, tolerances, cleanliness practices, torqueing/fit-up guidance.
Hydrogen Exposure (Electrolyser/Fuel Cell Ecosystem)
  • Work on hydrogen-related subsystems (e.g., gas handling, pressure regulation, purging, venting, leak management, safety interlocks).
  • Apply engineering judgement for materials compatibility, sealing strategy, and safe operating practices.
  • (For freshers) Demonstrate strong learning mindset and willingness to deep-dive into hydrogen standards and best practices.
Testing, Commissioning & Export Documentation
  • Own/execute FAT/SAT preparation, test procedures, and evidence collection (results, calibration certificates, checklists).
  • Produce export-grade documentation packs: O&M manuals, troubleshooting guides, spares lists, test reports, conformity/traceability packs.
  • Implement change control basics: revision history, engineering change notes, and configuration discipline.
Cross-functional & Customer Interface
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for datasheets, lead times, alternates, quality documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal teams and customers.
Required Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
  • Strong fundamentals and interest in core mechanical systems.
  • Exposure to hydraulics/pneumatics (coursework, internships, projects, or work experience).
  • Ability to read datasheets and translate requirements into component selections and drawings.
  • Comfortable with structured documentation and revision discipline.
Must-Have Skills (for experienced candidates)
  • Hands-on understanding of high-pressure systems and practical engineering trade-offs.
  • Experience with hydraulic power packs / pneumatic skids / test rigs / process skids / industrial equipment.
  • Strong documentation mindset: drawings + BOM + test procedure + test evidence.
Good-to-Have (Big Plus)
  • Hydrogen ecosystem experience: electrolysers, fuel cells, H handling or test setups.
  • Familiarity with standards/approaches like risk assessment, FMEA, safety interlocks, leak testing philosophy.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks / Creo / AutoCAD, and structured BOM management.
  • Prior exposure to export projects, customer audits, FAT/SAT acceptance, or regulated documentation culture.
What Were Looking For (Mindset)
  • Ownership: If its built, it must be documentable and testable.
  • Detail orientation: discipline in drawings, revisions, traceability.
  • Hands-on bias: comfort with shopfloor/integration/testing.
  • Curiosity and learning speed (especially for hydrogen domain).
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • You can independently produce clear schematics/drawings + BOMs for assigned subsystems.
  • You contribute to FAT/SAT readiness with well-written procedures and clean evidence.
  • Documentation gaps reduce measurably, and as-built quality improves.
How to Apply

Apply via LinkedIn with:

  • Updated resume
  • A short note describing:
  1. your hydraulics/pneumatics/high-pressure exposure, and
  2. any hydrogen-related experience or learning interest, and
  3. one example of documentation youve created (drawing/test plan/manualanything)

Note: Shortlisted candidates may be asked to do a brief practical exercise (3060 min) related to high-pressure system design + documentation.
