BloomRehab is a deep-tech startup on a mission to restore independence for neuro and ortho patients. Backed by Nikhil Kamaths WTFund, IIM Bangalores NSRCEL, and AssisTech (ATF), we build advanced rehabilitation robots that help people walk and move again. We are currently transitioning from lab-validated prototypes to market-ready medical devices.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Bangalore for a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer. You'll be responsible for transforming an early-stage prototype into a robust, reliable product designed for 5+ years of rigorous daily clinical use. You will own the mechanical lifecycle from managing complex assemblies in CAD to validating fatigue limits via FEA. Youll work at the intersection of robotics and human care, ensuring our hardware is as intuitive as it is indestructible.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design with a proven track record in designing robust mechanical systems
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 software, specifically for large assembly management and precision part design.
• Deep knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly; you know how to design for CNC, sheet metal, and scalable production.
• Ability to create professional-grade technical drawings with precise Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience using Finite Element Analysis to predict stress points and ensure a 5-year operational lifespan.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Bonus brownie points if you have been part of robotic clubs/competition teams at college
