Job Title: MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

Job Summary

The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works at the project site. The role ensures that MEP systems are installed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Execution

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Coordinate with civil and architectural teams for smooth execution
• Plan and supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, firefighting, plumbing, and ELV systems
• Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings and method statements

Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise MEP subcontractors and vendors
• Coordinate with consultants and client representatives
• Attend coordination meetings and resolve site issues/clashes
• Ensure timely availability of materials and manpower

Quality & Safety

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, IS codes, and project specifications
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
• Ensure adherence to safety norms and procedures

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports
• Maintain inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and as-built drawings
• Support preparation of RA bills and certification of MEP works

Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in testing, balancing, and commissioning of MEP systems
• Coordinate handover documentation and O&M manuals

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• MEP certification or equivalent training preferred

Experience

• 4- 5 years of experience in MEP works for civil construction projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Problem-solving and site management abilities

Preferred Attributes

• Experience handling MEP subcontractors
• Knowledge of local authority approvals and codes
• Familiarity with testing & commissioning procedures
