Job Description:

This entry-level design engineer's role will involve leveraging theoretical skills, state-of-the-art design tools as well as physical testing to develop products that outperform the best in the market. Most of the following key activities will revolve around core Mechanical Engineering:

Design - Modelling and Drafting:

• Create 3D CAD Models
• Design Detailing, BoM, Drawings Preparation
• 2D to 3D / 3D to 2D Conversion of Engineering Data
• Sourcing of bought-out components
• Manufacturing Vendor management
• Assembly & Testing of Products

Simulation - Modelling and Post-processing:

• Finite Element Modelling
• Results Post-processing

Documentation:

• Creating and maintaining modelling and analysis documentation
• Future career direction would be to grow into a Product Design Engineer or a CAE Analyst.

Desired Candidate Characteristics:

• Passion for Engineering: Needs to have a strong inclination towards fundamental mechanical engineering and design activities; the ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical designs
• Mechanical Engineering Academics: Strong theoretical foundation in engineering design, mechanics, and mathematics
• Project/Work Experience: Experience from concept development, product design to manufacturing and physical testing would be a plus.
• Modelling and Simulation experience: Prior modelling and simulation using CAD tools such as CATIA would be a plus

General Skills which can be valuable are:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience may be considered
• Minimum First Class. Top Rankers from good colleges will be preferred
