Job Description

We are looking for a research-driven Marketing & Growth Specialist to build awareness, engagement, and visibility for Independent Contractors (ICs) / Freelancers across global freelance platforms and communities. This role focuses on platform-led marketing, content and broadcasting-aligned campaigns, and insight-based engagement strategies to strengthen IC participation, activation, and long-term association.


Key Responsibilities

Buzz Creation & Engagement Funnel

  • Create sustained buzz to drive IC awareness, interest, and activation (not sourcing)
  • Leverage global marketing channels such as platforms, communities, forums, newsletters, and social channels
  • Track and optimize engagement metrics such as content reach, participation, activation, and repeat interaction

Global Social Media Platform Marketing (IC Engagement & Visibility)

  • Strengthen brand presence and positioning across global freelance platforms
  • Design strategies to improve visibility, credibility, and engagement among existing and potential IC communities
  • Research platform-specific algorithms, engagement levers, and content formats to improve reach and interaction

Content & Broadcasting-Led Marketing

  • Plan and execute content-led campaigns aligned with broadcasting, media, and content ecosystems
  • Create narratives, messaging, and positioning that resonate with freelance professionals globally
  • Support promotion of onboarding guides, learning content, thought leadership, and community-focused initiatives

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Research freelancer behavior, motivation drivers, and platform engagement patterns
  • Analyze competitor IC engagement, branding, and communication strategies
  • Translate insights into marketing experiments and continuous improvement initiatives


Required Background & Skills

  • 36 years of experience in Marketing, Growth, or Platform Marketing
  • Strong exposure to freelancer / IC ecosystems and global marketplaces
  • Experience managing engagement, visibility, or branding initiatives across multiple freelance platforms
  • Background in broadcasting, media, content, or research-driven environments
  • Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Experience working with global audiences (LATAM, Europe, APAC preferred)
