Job Description
This role operates Z47s content machine end-to-end. From raw ideas and long conversations to sharp, distributed stories that travel. You will anchor content production, manage creators and vendors, uphold quality, and ensure everything we publish meets a high editorial and production bar.
Content is central to how Z47 shows up in the world. This role shapes how ideas travel, how credibility compounds, and how the brand is experienced at scale. If done well, it becomes one of the most leveraged roles in the company.
This is not a social media manager role. This is a builder role. You turn complex thinking into clear narratives and make sure they ship - on time, on brand, and with intent.
What Youll Do
1. Content Anchoring & Storytelling:
- Translate complex ideas (technology, investing, founders, markets) into clear, compelling stories.
- Own narrative arcs across podcasts, articles, videos, reels, infographics, and social posts.
- Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and intellectual honesty across formats.
2. Production & Project Management:
- Run the content calendar and production pipeline end-to-end.
- Coordinate writers, designers, editors, videographers, and external partners.
- Break large content into modular, high-quality outputs without diluting intent.
- Maintain ruthless clarity on timelines, dependencies, and quality standards.
3. Distribution & Packaging:
- Oversee how content is packaged for different platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, newsletters, etc.).
- Ensure every piece is edited for the medium, not copy-pasted across channels.
- Work closely with performance and growth teams to close the loop between content and outcomes.
4. Quality Control:
- Be the final editorial gatekeeper on most outputs.
- Push for clarity, sharpness, and craft.
- Raise the bar continuously on writing, visuals, and production values.
5. Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to extract ideas and insights.
- Manage up, down, and sideways with clarity and confidence.
- Bring order to chaos without killing creative momentum.
What Were Looking For
- 58 years of experience in content, editorial, brand, or marketing roles.
- Proven ability to turn complex subjects into accessible, intelligent stories.
- Strong production instinctsyou understand effort, sequencing, and trade-offs.
- High ownership mindset: you dont wait to be told, you close loops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and standardsyou care deeply about what ships.
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with podcasts, long-form editorial, or video-led content.
