Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Research Analyst to join our team. This role will be pivotal in building and maintaining our market intelligence infrastructure. The primary focus will be on comprehensive market mapping, robust database building through various tools and web scraping, and ensuring the ongoing management and optimization of our market data. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into actionable insights, directly supporting our sales, marketing, and product development strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

Market Mapping & Intelligence:

o Conduct in-depth research to identify and map target markets, industries, key players, and emerging trends relevant to our business objectives.

o Analyze competitor landscapes, including their products, services, pricing strategies, market share, and go-to-market approaches.

o Identify potential market opportunities, gaps, and threats through systematic research and analysis.

o Develop and maintain comprehensive market segmentation strategies.

Database Building & Data Acquisition:

o Source and collect relevant quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources, including public databases, industry reports, news articles, company websites, and social media.

o Utilize web scraping tools and techniques (e.g., Python libraries like Beautiful Soup/Scrapy, commercial scraping software) to extract large datasets efficiently and ethically.

o Standardize and structure raw data into usable formats for analysis, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

o Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) to understand data requirements and priorities.

Database Management & Optimization:

o Implement and maintain robust processes for data quality assurance, including validation, cleansing, and de-duplication of market data.

o Manage and update existing market intelligence databases, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and internal data repositories.

o Optimize database structures and queries for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting.

o Ensure data security, compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in data governance.

Reporting & Insights:

o Generate regular reports and dashboards on market trends, competitor activities, and database health.

o Present research findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.

o Support the development of strategic plans by providing data-backed market insights.


Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in market research, data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role with a strong focus on data acquisition and management in a B2B SaaS organization.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in web scraping tools and methodologies (e.g., experience with Python for scraping, or commercial scraping platforms).

o Strong command of Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and/or Google Sheets. o Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for data entry, management, and reporting.

o Familiarity with database concepts and querying (SQL preferred).

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets, identifying patterns and generating actionable insights.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
