Job Description
Job Title: Solution Architect Market Management Systems
Location: India
Education: Bachelors/Masters in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
Experience Range: 812 years
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of APAC electricity markets (Day-Ahead, Intraday, Real-Time, Ancillary Services)
- Good knowledge of Energy Contract Management (e.g., STOR Short Term Operating Reserve, FFR Firm Frequency Response)
- Expertise in MMS platforms (ABB Ventyx, PLEXOS, PROMOD, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments (most MMS backend systems run on these)
- Knowledge of settlement systems, market clearing algorithms, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Java/J2EE
- Familiarity with integration protocols (XML, REST APIs) and event-driven architecture
(Cloud experience optional only if MMS deployment involves hybrid/cloud integration)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement MMS solutions for APAC utilities (including Taiwan Power Company)
- Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards and cybersecurity compliance
- Lead requirement analysis, architecture design, and integration with trading and settlement systems
- Collaborate with Agile teams and manage release trains for large programs
- Document architecture diagrams and maintain technical governance
