Job Description

Engineer - Market Intelligence and Analytics

The role is a full-time professional position that works with senior management to support strategic planning activities by providing actionable recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential.


Your job:

  • Identify and collect relevant customer, competitor, market, economic, financial, and operational data.
  • Perform financial, statistical, and qualitative analyses of markets and competitors.
  • Translate data into actionable and effective market intelligence reports.
  • Gather and analyze information and trends relevant to Festos major target markets, including Food and Packaging, Automotive, Electronics, Biopharma and Cosmetics, Machine Tools, Chemical, Textile, Printing, and Metals.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to ensure market intelligence is shared with appropriate teams and individuals, supporting growth planning, annual target setting, and strategies for new projects.
  • Gather information on competitors and analyze their sales, pricing, distribution methods, and marketing strategies to gain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Use industry research and analysis to support the MARCOMM team in optimizing the branding budget and proactively planning Festos branding activities across industry segments.
  • Provide market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management groups to facilitate effective strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.


Your qualification:

  • Graduation in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Marketing, Analytics, or Market Research roles covering relevant topics.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills with a proven ability to interact with, consult, and professionally influence senior management.
  • Conceptual thinker with strong customer orientation, goal-oriented approach, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • High emphasis on numerical ability, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of work and projects.
  • Smart and confident appearance with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong social and intercultural competence with business fluency in English and Hindi.
