Role Description

ARK Marine Consultancy, Singapore is seeking aqualified Marine Engineer (Second/Chief Engineer) for a Ship surveyor/inspector role. Candidate should have preferably sailed on different types of vessels including dry cargo, Bulk oil and gas Tanker vessels and have participated in vessel operations, major repairs/modifications, dry-docking/new building activities.

The right candidate would have a high level of Integrity, be dynamic, able to work independently and possess a positive attitude. The job will require multitasking and involve taking on new challenges.

This job is located in Pune which will require the candidate to work in hybrid environment.

A reasonable amount of travel may be involved for the job.

Job Description

1. Manage remote vessel inspections and prepare reports for the same.
2. Supervise remote vessel inspection surveyors for conducting vessel condition assessment surveys.
3. Manage all communication between clients, external surveyors, vessel and other stakeholders for all vessel inspections conducted globally.
4. Attend vessels from time to time to conduct inspections/surveys in India and abroad as may be required.
5. Accept responsibilities assigned to you by the Company and endeavour to the best of your ability to promote and advance the best interests of the Company;
6. Undertake any duties in relation to the Company as shall from time to time be assigned to you;
7. Comply with all internal control systems, procedures, orders, directions, rules, regulations, limits of authority, practices and policies of the Company as may be applicable.
8. The company shall support all relevant trainings for the job role as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications

• Vessel inspection experience.
• Vessel inspection report making and review
• Team Management, Project Management skills
• Technical coordination expertise
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Class I or Class II Marine Engineers license
• Sailing experience on multiple vessel types with multinational crew.
