Job Description: The person is expected to complete Discrete Event Simulation engagements and employ discrete event simulation techniques to build simulation models for manufacturing processes / warehouse operations, drive analysis and / or optimization basis the as-is model.

Requirements :

Must have :

1. Experience in Plant simulation and process optimization

2. Skilled in at least one of the leading discrete event simulation software (preferably FlexSim or Visual Components)

3. Good knowledge in statistical analysis

4. Experience in improving line efficiency and productivity through modeling techniques

5. Good knowledge in improvement methodologies such as line balancing, process planning etc.

6. Exposure to shop floor and / or warehousing operations

7. Practical knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes

1. Software skills:

a. Proficient in at least one leading discrete event simulation software (preferably FlexSim / Visual Components)

b. Skilled in Excel, Google sheet etc.

Good to have :

1. Knowledge of Industrial Engineering, Lean mfg., Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning etc.

2. Hands on experience in any one of the statistical analysis software

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Work on Discrete Event Simulation engagements for Manufacturing / Warehouse simulation

2. Create As-Is and To-be models of the manufacturing process / warehousing operations using discrete event simulation software

3. Throughput, bottleneck and utilization analysis of production / warehouse operations through simulation model

4. Conduct What-If scenario analysis for multiple scenarios through simulation model

5. Optimize manufacturing / warehouse processes using modeling techniques
