Role Objective

TheOperations Headis responsible forendtoend operations managementof the factory, ensuringontime production, quality excellence, cost control, process discipline, and team performance.

The role ownsProduction, PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch, and ensures that operations runsystemdriven, predictable, and scalable.



Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Delivery Ownership

  • Owndaily, weekly, and monthly production planning
  • Ensureontime deliveryas per sales commitments

Monitor and improve:

  • Output
  • Yield
  • Cycle time
  • Productivity
  • Ensure production targets are metwithout firefighting



2. PPC & Planning

  • LeadPPC functionfor:
  • Capacity planning
  • Material planning
  • Manpower planning
  • Align PPC with Sales, SCM, and Production
  • Freeze and trackproduction schedules



3. Quality & Process Discipline

  • Ensurequality is built into the process, not inspected at the end
  • Drive adherence to:
  • SOPs
  • Work instructions
  • Control plans
  • Reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints
  • SupportQMS / ISO implementationand audits



4. Maintenance & Asset Reliability

  • Ensuremachine uptime and preventive maintenance
  • Reduce breakdowns and dependency on reactive maintenance
  • Own maintenance planning and spares readiness



5. Stores, Inventory & Cost Control

  • ControlRM, WIP, FG inventory
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and FIFO
  • Reduce wastage, excess, and obsolescence
  • Drivecost reduction initiatives



6. People Management & Discipline

  • Lead shopfloor teams:
  • Supervisors
  • Engineers
  • Operators
  • Ensure:
  • Discipline
  • Attendance control
  • Skill development
  • Develop secondline leadership
  • Work closely with HR on manpower stability



7. CrossFunctional Coordination

  • Act as theoperations SPOCbetween:
  • Sales
  • SCM
  • Quality
  • R&D / NPI
  • HR
  • Ensure smooth handover fromNPI to Mass Production



8. Reporting & Reviews

  • Prepare and review:
  • Daily production reports
  • KPI dashboards
  • Capacity & efficiency reports
  • Conductdaily / weekly review meetings
  • Escalate risks withfacts and data



KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Ontime delivery (OTD)
  • Production efficiency & yield
  • Reduction in rework, rejection, and downtime
  • Inventory turns & cost control
  • Process compliance level
  • Team stability and productivity



Qualification & Experience

  • BE / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electronics
  • 815 yearsexperience inmanufacturing operations
  • Proven experience handling:
  • Production
  • PPC
  • Quality
  • Maintenance
  • Electronics / EMS / Manufacturing background preferred
