Manhattan Cognos

1. Job Purpose

The Functional Template Consultant Cognos Reporting is responsible for building and configuring global functional reporting solution templates and implementation tools, ensuring effective and standardized Cognos Reporting deployments across multiple customer environments.

2. Key Accountabilities

• Configure and deploy Cognos Reporting templates including standard reports, documents, dashboards, and functional implementation scripts.
• Follow established configuration guidelines for consistent global implementation.
• Provide configuration expertise and support during customer-specific implementations.
• Accurately document and maintain configurations for global usage and replication.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting templates based on customer experiences and evolving needs.

3. Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• a. Education & Qualifications:
• Essential: Bachelors degree in IT, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related discipline.
• Desirable: Certification in Cognos Reporting or other relevant business intelligence tools.
• b. Experience:
• Essential: Minimum 3 years of experience configuring and deploying Cognos Reporting solutions.
• Essential: Minimum 1 years experience with Manhattan Active SCI
• Desirable: At least 1 year experience with Manhattan Platform/Classic SCI
• Essential: Practical experience in implementing functional templates for reporting.
• Desirable: Background in global reporting or business intelligence projects.
• c. Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
• Essential: Thorough understanding of Cognos Reporting system configurations and functionalities.
• Essential: Skilled in documentation, configuration, and practical deployment of reporting solutions.
• Essential: familiar with Manhattan Active SCI framework, and ProActive (to add new fields)
• Desirable: exposure to Manhattan Platform/Classic SCI, and SQL Desirable: Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• d. Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
• Essential: Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Essential: Ability to clearly present and document reporting configurations.
