Ore & Metal Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Assore Group , providing sales, marketing, and logistic services.
Ore & Metal possesses extensive knowledge of the mining sector, producing, marketing, and shipping a diverse array of metals and minerals, including iron ore, manganese, chrome, and ferroalloys. Additionally, we source and market various other commodities, alloys, and niche products from third parties, serving our customers industries globally.
We are looking to hire a Managing Director: O&M India . This role is based at our office in Kolkata, India.
Main purpose of the role:
The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational performance, and sustainable growth of the business. The role requires building a high-performance culture, fostering strong team dynamics, and ensuring alignment with the broader vision and objectives of the Group. The MD will be expected to drive profitability, operational excellence, and effective governance across all aspects of the business.

Requirements:
- Relevant post-graduate / Honours Degree (Commerce, Marketing or Engineering)
- Master's in Business Administration will be advantageous
Professional experience:
- Minimum of 20 years of total professional experience, out of which at least 10 years in a senior management position in a corporate.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a business unit with full P&L responsibility, including strategic planning, revenue growth, cost control, and overall financial performance.
- Sales and marketing experience in multiple industrial products; overseas exposure will be an added advantage.
