Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Manager/Manager to oversee our Vendor Management department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth coordination of the background verification process with external partners.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Vendor Onboarding & Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard domestic & International vendors for different BGV checks (employment, education, address, criminal, court checks, etc.).
  • Maintain vendor documentation, agreements, NDAs, and compliance records.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with verification partners.


2. Performance Monitoring

  • Track vendor performance based on TAT (Turnaround Time), quality, and accuracy.
  • Conduct periodic vendor reviews and audits.
  • Address performance gaps and implement improvement plans.


3. SLA & Compliance Management

  • Ensure vendors adhere to defined SLAs, regulatory guidelines, and data security policies.
  • Monitor compliance with client requirements and internal policies.
  • Escalate delays or quality issues to management.


4. Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal operations teams, case managers, and vendors for case processing.
  • Resolve verification issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely closure of BGV cases.


5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare vendor performance reports, MIS reports, and dashboards.
  • Maintain updated vendor database and case records.
  • Track vendor billing and invoices.


6. Cost & Contract Management

  • Negotiate vendor pricing and service terms.
  • Monitor vendor billing accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Support contract renewals and vendor evaluations

Required Skills:

  • Vendor management and negotiation skills for both domestic and international vendors.
  • Understanding & experience of background verification processes.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SLA management and compliance standards.
