Manager-Metallurgy

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Ability to do raw material form / Drawing review and Approval.
• Ability to perform failure analysis.
• Ability to do reverse engineering & support to IMCR.
• Ability to solve metallurgical concerns and supplier process issues.
• Ability to suggest correct materials / alternative material to designer.
• Ability to work as a single window for all metallurgical / material related concerns.
• Ability to support and work for ELV implementation along with homologation & sustainability team.

   (1) Drawing – Understanding of engineering drawing & symbols.
   (2) Team centre - DR / RM Approval on Team centre.
   (3) Metallurgy Lab / Inspection – Expertise in metallurgy testing.
   (4) NTD – Expertise in NDT testing & methodology.

   (5) Material / Testing Standards - IS, ASTM, DIN, AISI, JIS, etc.

Experience

• Expertise in Metallurgical testing – Knowledge of all Metallurgical testing equipment’s & test procedures. (Ferrous / non-ferrous / Rubber / Plastic / Oil)
• Knowledge of Material and Testing standards, IS, ASTM, DIN, AISI, JIS, etc.
• Special Process Knowledge - Casting, Forging, Heat Treatment, Sheet Metal, Welding, Fasteners, powder metallurgy, Rubber, plastic, Plating and Painting.
• Heat Treatment - Knowledge of All Heat Treatment Processes.
• Expertise in Failure Analysis.
• Special process Improvement (ICA / PCA) & Supplier Development.
• Able to interpret engineering drawing & symbols.
• RTS (Review of technical specification) / DR / RM Approval on Team centre.
• Benchmarking / Reverse Engineering.
• Knowledge of ELV – Added advantage
