As an organisation strategy generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of organisation strategy. You will provide a comprehensive guidance and support to clients in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimise organisational performance. Working in this area, you will analyse client needs, design organisational strategies, and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements.

Our Strategy Consultants work with client and project teams to support global engagements from India, focusing on delivering impactful results. Their responsibilities include conducting analyses and developing insights, preparing analytical models, analyzing large data sets, and understanding how digital solutions can address client pain points. They capture current processes, prepare work plans, design to-be processes, work directly with client teams and facilitate meetings to enable decision making. Additionally, they organize and prepare recommendations on client issues and participate actively in new business development, thought leadership and firm building activities.

As a sustainability generalist at PwC, you will utilize your skills and experience across environmental, social, governance (ESG) topics and sustainability more broadly. You will analyze client needs and provide consulting services across different areas in the sustainability lifecycle, including strategy, transformation, and reporting.

You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm. Key Responsibilities: 

As a manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

What skill does it take? 

  • Industry Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, operations in non-manufacturing sectors to develop innovative sustainability strategies that align with clients' business goals and regulatory requirements. 

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients, lead project workstreams for strategic engagements, and forge strong relationships. Understand their unique challenges and objectives, and guide them through the sustainability journey, providing tailored recommendations and solutions. 

  • Decarbonization and Net Zero Strategy: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of decarbonization strategies, energy management, greenhouse gas footprint analysis, renewable energy solutions, and regulatory frameworks related to greenhouse gas emissions reduction. 

  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks: Possess knowledge of the GHG Protocol, GRI, TCFD, Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and other relevant frameworks. 

  • Emission Reduction Levers: Understand and apply key levers for reducing emissions. 

  • Supply Chain Transparency: Develop and implement key strategies for enhancing supply chain transparency. 

  • Digital Transformation and Solution Design: Drive digital transformation initiatives and design solutions to enhance sustainability outcomes. 

  • Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of sustainability trends, emerging technologies, and policy developments. Publish thought leadership content, build presentations for industry conferences, and actively contribute to the knowledge base of our organization. 

  • Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is preferred.

Qualifications 

  • A master's degree in business or engineering. 

  • Past experience in strategy consulting domain with experience in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability related engagements and exposure to a multinational environment will be an added bonus
