Job Purpose

To lead revenue assurance and distribution finance operations across Broadcast / OTT / Pay TV platforms, ensuring accurate subscriber-led revenue booking, agreement compliance, robust debtor control, and seamless coordination with sales, distribution, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Assurance & Subscriber Management

• End-to-end ownership of subscriber report validation and subscriber-based revenue booking
• Governance of customer lifecycle execution in subscriber management system or equivalent broadcast revenue systems
• Oversight of revenue and subscriber reporting across Linear TV, DTH, and OTT platforms
• Monitoring packaging, channel placement, and subscriber trends impacting revenue

MIS, Analytics & Reporting

• Review and presentation of management MIS, sales ad-hoc reports, and variance analysis
• Governance of channel mapping data (e.g., Times Now Navbharat / ET Swadesh)
• Landing page and platform data validation with impact analysis on viewership and revenue

Distribution Agreements & Compliance

• Oversight of RIO agreement execution and compliance with regulatory and commercial terms
• Ensure adherence to pricing, packaging, and revenue-share constructs
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal controls

Reconciliation & Collections

• Lead customer reconciliations (MSR vs billing vs collections)
• Ownership of debtor management including DSO & DA control
• Drive timely invoice collections and manage escalations with MSOs, DTH operators, and OTT partners

Sales & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as finance SPOC for LFS, TM (Sales), and distribution teams
• Support commercial negotiations with data-driven insights
• Inventory management oversight aligned to distribution strategy

Team & Process Leadership

• Lead and mentor revenue assurance and operations teams
• Drive process standardization, automation, and system enhancements
• Promote continuous learning and best practices within the team

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of Broadcast, OTT, and Pay TV revenue models
• Expertise in subscriber-based billing, subscriber report validation, and reconciliation
• Working knowledge of billing & customer management systems, CAS, SMS, or equivalent distribution systems
• Advanced Excel and MIS/dashboard reporting skills
• Strong stakeholder management with MSOs, DTH operators, and OTT partners

Qualification & Experience

• Preferably MBA in Finance, or related field
• 710 years of experience in Distribution Finance / Revenue Assurance within Broadcast / OTT / Pay TV
• Prior experience in managing teams and handling audits/compliance preferred
