Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced US Tax Manager to lead and manage U.S. taxation engagements, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in U.S. taxation, excellent client-handling skills, and experience managing teams and deadlines, especially during peak tax seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities
• Proficienncy upon 1040/1120/1065
• Oversee tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory engagements
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns in compliance with IRS and state regulations
• Lead, mentor, and review work of tax associates and seniors
• Act as a primary point of contact for U.S.-based clients
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic tax advice
• Handle IRS notices, audits, and correspondence
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulatory changes
• Ensure quality control and adherence to internal processes

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• EA certification or prior work experience with a Big 4 firm is mandatory
• 6+ years of experience in U.S. taxation with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws
• Experience with tax software such as UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills
• Ability to work under pressure during tax season and meet strict deadlines
