Job Description

Function: Human Resources Talent Acquisition

Vertical: Manufacturing

Location: Ahmedabad

Role Purpose

The Manager Talent Acquisition will be responsible for driving end-to-end hiring for the manufacturing vertical, including plant, corporate, and leadership roles. The role requires strong stakeholder management, hands-on recruitment expertise, and the ability to deliver quality hiring at scale in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for manufacturing plants, including roles across operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS, maintenance, and plant leadership
  • Partner with business and HR leaders on manpower planning, hiring forecasts, and critical talent needs
  • Ensure timely closure of positions while maintaining quality-of-hire standards

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted recruitment partner to Plant Heads, Functional Heads, and HR Business Partners
  • Understand manufacturing-specific skill requirements and local talent market dynamics
  • Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring trends

Sourcing Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute sourcing strategies using direct sourcing, referrals, local hiring channels, consultants, ITIs, campuses, and vendor partnerships
  • Build strong talent pipelines for critical and niche manufacturing roles
  • Drive diversity hiring and local workforce hiring initiatives

Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Strengthen employer brand at plant and regional levels
  • Ensure consistent and positive candidate experience across all touchpoints
  • Manage offer process, negotiations, and joining formalities in coordination with HR and business

Vendor & Cost Management

  • Manage recruitment vendors and consultants; negotiate terms and monitor performance
  • Ensure adherence to recruitment budgets and cost optimization
  • Maintain compliance with hiring policies and audit requirements

Data, MIS & Process Excellence

  • Track recruitment metrics such as TAT, cost-per-hire, offer-to-join ratio, and attrition linkage
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization in recruitment
  • Prepare hiring dashboards and periodic reports for leadership reviews

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing hiring and plant environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Hands-on sourcing and closing capability
  • Ability to manage high-volume as well as critical niche roles
  • Analytical mindset with exposure to recruitment metrics

Education & Experience

  • MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in HR or relevant discipline
  • 812 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with significant exposure to manufacturing / plant hiring
  • Experience in multi-location or greenfield plant hiring will be an added advantage
