Manager / Senior Manager - Non EB Placement

Job Purpose

To manage placement of Non-Employee Benefits (Non-EB) insurance risks with insurers, ensuring optimal coverage, competitive pricing, and timely policy issuance while maintaining strong insurer relationships and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Placement & Broking

• Handle end-to-end placement of Non-EB insurance policies including Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Financial Lines, Cyber, and other specialty lines.
• Analyze client risk profiles and placement requirements in coordination with sales and servicing teams.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate terms, coverage, deductibles, and pricing with insurers.
• Secure competitive quotes and finalize placements in line with client expectations and internal guidelines.

Insurer Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with underwriting and senior management teams at insurers.
• Stay updated on insurer appetites, underwriting guidelines, and capacity.
• Coordinate with insurers for renewals, endorsements, mid-term changes, and policy wordings.

Technical & Product Expertise

• Provide technical support to sales and servicing teams on Non-EB products and coverage structures.
• Review policy wordings, endorsements, and clauses to ensure accuracy and adequacy of coverage.
• Identify gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate risk solutions.

Coordination & Operations

• Liaise with operations, policy issuance, and accounts teams to ensure timely issuance and documentation.
• Support claims team by coordinating with insurers for claims intimation, documentation, and resolution where required.
• Ensure accurate and timely MIS, placement summaries, and documentation.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all placements comply with IRDAI regulations, internal policies, and insurer guidelines.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and regulatory reviews.
• Adhere to ethical broking practices and confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Postgraduate degree (Insurance qualification preferred AIII, ACII).
• 58+ years of experience in Non-EB placement / broking.
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance products excluding Employee Benefits.
• Hands-on experience dealing with multiple insurers and complex risk placements.
