About the Role; The Manager Projects & Programs will play a pivotal role in one of the most strategic and high impact initiatives. Reporting directly to the Vice President Strategy, this individual will lead, coordinate, and execute end to end project deliverables including business planning, regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Key Responsibilities;

Project Planning & Strategy

• Lead the development of a detailed business plan, including market analysis, financial modelling, risk assessment, and go-to-market strategy.
• Provide strategic support to the VP – Strategy in scoping, structuring, and scaling the university campus project.
• Prepare detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.

Regulatory Engagement & Compliance

• Serve as the primary coordinator for UGC and other relevant regulator interactions in India.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all documentation, representations, and submissions meet regulatory expectations.
• Handhold the partner international university throughout the regulatory approval journey, acting as a knowledgeable and responsive liaison.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including university partners, government bodies, consultants, and internal teams.
• Facilitate decision-making forums and ensure alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in the education and regulatory ecosystem.

Operational Readiness

• Collaborate with functional leads (academics, infrastructure, marketing, admissions, finance) to ensure operational workstreams are progressing in tandem with the strategic plan.
• Track dependencies, flag bottlenecks, and proactively drive issue resolution.
• Contribute to setting up project governance, operating frameworks, and initial team structures as the campus evolves.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain clear and regular project updates, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
• Prepare presentations, board-level documentation, and regulator-ready dossiers.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• 6–10 years of experience in project management, strategy, higher education, consulting, or related domains.
• Prior exposure to regulatory frameworks in Indian higher education (UGC, AICTE, etc.) is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional projects with external stakeholders.
• MBA, Master’s in Public Policy, Higher Education, or equivalent preferred.
