The Opportunity

The Manager Projects (East Asia) will lead and manage the operational and logistical execution of immersion programs for students, leaders, counsellors and senior officials, including delegation visits and related initiatives with a focus on Japan. The role requires strong project coordination capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage programs end-to-end with strategic guidance from the Director Strategic Initiatives.

This position is ideal for a professional with 58 years of relevant experience who demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment.


Role Summary :


Key Responsibilities


Project and Operations Management

  • Independently manage assigned immersion programs, delegation visits, and events, aligned with strategic objectives
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end operational and logistical requirements for domestic and international programs
  • Develop and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution
  • Anticipate risks and resolve operational challenges proactively


Logistics and Coordination

  • Coordinate with international partners, academic institutions, vendors, and service providers
  • Manage travel and program logistics including itineraries, accommodation, transportation, site visits, and schedules
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders


Program Delivery

  • Support the design, planning, and execution of East Asiafocused immersion programs and delegation visits
  • Ensure a high-quality participant experience through meticulous planning and execution
  • Provide on-ground program coordination and support, as required


Communication and Documentation

  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with partners, clients, and participants
  • Prepare and manage project documentation including schedules, checklists, briefs, and post-program reports
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to internal operational processes


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience with a strong interest in education tourism, global programs, and operations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and execution skills


Desired or preferred

  • 58 years of work experience in the education tourism industry in India
  • Prior experience managing or supporting programs or tours to East Asia (preferably Japan)
  • Understanding of Japanese culture, social norms, and professional etiquette
  • Exposure to international education programs, student mobility, or immersion initiatives
