Manager - Product Development (Knits Fabric)

Lead the development of new knitted fabrics, ensuring that each product meets the aesthetic, functional, and performance requirements.

Collaborate with the design team to create innovative fabric concepts and develop samples based on seasonal trends, customer feedback, and market demands.

Research new yarns, fibers, and finishes that can be incorporated into knit fabrics to create high-performance, on-trend materials.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure fabric performance standards are met, including shrinkage, stretchability, durability, color fastness, and overall fabric quality.

Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to identify the best raw materials and suppliers for fabric development.

Oversee the creation of fabric samples and prototypes, ensuring they align with design and production specifications.

Conduct or coordinate testing on all new knit fabrics to assess performance attributes such as durability, comfort, elasticity, and washing resistance.

Troubleshoot any issues during the production phase related to fabric performance, quality, or manufacturing constraints.

Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders regarding fabric development progress, challenges, and solutions.
