Job Description

This position will manage India Payroll which includes Strong Statutory compliance knowledge, F&F Settlements, Payroll Audit


Payroll Management

  • Monitor and Observe Overall Payroll process and ensure timely and accurate salary credit
  • Effective Payroll Input management and its use for Payroll process to process Zero Error payroll
  • Validate and consider Reimbursement claim for India payroll
  • Validation of salary register before final payroll process and post to FICO module
  • Bank Account Reconciliation and recording of fallout payment
  • Prepare Payroll MIS on monthly Basis and submit to the Management


Employee F&F Settlement

  • Responsible for F&F Settlement and providing forecast for F&F settlement before the exit
  • Track F&F settlement status and intimate to BU's for fast closing of F&F settlements
  • Prepare F&F Settlement MIS and intimate Bu's and HRSS team for F&F dues recovery


Manage Payroll Audit

  • Conduct sample payroll Audit on Monthly Basis to ensure that all payroll process has been followed strictly and accurately
  • Reconciliation of all Statutory payments and clearing of all Payroll related GL accounts on monthly basis
  • Reconciliation of salary payable GL and clearing of salary payable GL account on Monthly Basis
  • Support Payroll and HR Audit by providing required details and documents on quarterly and annual basis
  • Coordinate with All Stakeholder for Audit response
  • Answer Payroll & HR Audit queries and prepare response to Audit report


Income Tax

  • Knowledge of Income tax act and its Rule
  • Handle Income Tax declaration on monthly basis and annual investment proof validation process
  • Monthly Tax deduction and deposition
  • In depth knowledge of Quarterly/Annual return filing
  • Conduct awareness session and guide employees on Income tax provisions


Statutory Compliance

  • In depth knowledge of Statutory compliance
  • Ensure proper deduction of statutory Dues through salary
  • Ensuring timely generation of PF, ESIC, LWF, PT challans for online payment across all Branches.
  • Coordination with Payroll, Accounts & Finance team for making the statutory payments like PF, ESIC, P. Tax, LWF.
  • Guide employees for linking Aadhaar and UAN, Create UAN, Face recognition
  • Statutory Payment reconciliations and ensure Zero balance in respective GL accounts
  • Monitor and Ensure 100% E-Nomination under PF/ESIC/Gratuity act for all new join employees
  • Support Employees for PF transfer/PF withdrawal/Pension/EDLI claim
  • Coordinate with PF/ESIC office for employee related query/claim
  • Monitor and ensure to file all Statutory return on time
  • Attend Statutory Inspections & Assessment and close positively
  • Handel Statutory Notices and replay suitable to close the notices
  • Handel Internal & External Audits and plan and close Open points
  • Guide stakeholders on statutory acts and its provision
  • In depth knowledge of Professional Tax compliance
  • Deduct and deposit P. Tax dues for Branches across India
  • Attend P. Tax assessment and close positively


Gratuity Compliance

  • Ensure Gratuity compliance as per Act.
  • Collect Gratuity Nomination form from the employees and store
  • Collect required forms from employees and Pay Gratuity as per Act.
  • Submit required details and documents to labour office as per Gratuity Act
  • Actuarial valuation of Gratuity and Leave encashment
  • Manage Gratuity Trust as per the provision of Trust Deed and Gratuity Act.


NPS Compliance

  • Guide employees on investment under National Pension Scheme (NPS)
  • Deduction and deposit NPS dues on time
  • Arrange Training session on NPS scheme
  • Manage NPS transfer claim


Other Payroll Activities

  • Prepare Managerial remuneration and KPI reports under Sect 197
  • Collect, Reconcile and provide Leave Balance to Audit team on quarterly basis for Actuarial valuation
  • Superannuation Trust Management
  • In depth knowledge of Maternity benefit and its Rule


Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical):

  • SAP HR & Payroll Module is Must
  • Deep experience in Indian statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, LWF, P. Tax)
  • Proficiency in data analytic and MS Excel to monitor compliance metrics,
  • Assess risk patterns
  • Manage complex salary structure


Leadership/Managerial Attributes:

  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Excellent in Drafting legal communication
  • Confident of interacting with Govt. Officials and other stake holders
  • Able to work under Stress,
  • Excellent follow up and delivery
