Risk mapping: Ensure risks are identified and correctly assessed
Control mapping: Ensure the control mapping is updated and relevant to risks
Challenge incident management and action plan
Analysis of the impact on Framework, RCSA, process
Monitoring of closure of action plans /Regulatory Recommendations
Supervise First Line of Defense Control framework through adequacy assessment, verification and challenge.
Ensure that 1st level controls are performed in line with procedure and properly documented (audit trail).
Propose improvements for the control plans whenever required based on the holistic view of the controls.
Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that lead to operational risk losses.
Serve as a subject matter expert for all performance issues that surface.
Issues Management (KPI/KRI/Corrective Action Plans)
Awareness / Training / Innovation:
Watch out for innovative ideas and application of new technologies.
Watch out for trends and market disruptions and detect emerging opportunities.

Qualification , Experience and skills required

Management Graduate/LLB/CS
Must have domain experience of the key operational risk areas (such as Regulatory, Risk Governance, Framework, Risk Appetite, Risk policies, Risk culture, Risk identification life cycle identification, control design assessment, Risk reporting)
Broadened knowledge in general financial services regulations and application of law
Self-Starter who can work without close supervision, proactive and entrepreneurial
Adaptive demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude change. Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a non-structured environment
Cognitive skills able to employ strong analytical skills; thinks strategically about complex problems and how to solve them; thinks creatively to find unconventional solutions
Well versed in breaking down complex matters into core issues and root causes that can be more readily addressed
