Job Description
Job Summary :
The Manager Operations & Program Delivery is responsible for smooth center operations, quality program delivery, and child safety across assigned Hi5 basketball centers. Based in Mumbai with regular travel to assigned states, the role involves coordinating with coaches, schools, and parents to ensure effective execution and alignment with Hi5s vision.
- Responsible for smooth functioning of assigned Hi5 basketball centres within the allocated region, with regular field travel and reporting to the Regional Manager Operations.
- Based in Mumbai and willing to travel to assigned states once every month for on-ground reviews and coordination.
- Ensure high-quality program delivery aligned with Hi5s vision of changing young lives through play.
- Oversee day-to-day centre operations, ensuring sessions run as per schedule, curriculum, and attendance norms.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor session quality and provide feedback.
- Ensure courts, equipment, and infrastructure are safe, functional, and well maintained.
- Act as the first point of contact for coaches at centres and support them with operational issues such as attendance, equipment, and scheduling.
- Ensure coaches strictly follow Hi5 SOPs and POSH & POCSO guidelines.
- Ensure strict adherence to child protection and safety policies at all centres.
- Verify and maintain required documentation including consent forms, ID proofs, and necessary permissions.
- Ensure zero tolerance for violations related to physical contact, communication, or conduct norms and take immediate action on safety or discipline concerns.
- Conduct and support Parent Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and engage parents on attendance, safety, and child progression.
- Coordinate with school authorities, principals, and local stakeholders and maintain positive institutional relationships.
- Track attendance, dropouts, new enrolments, and retention at centre level.
- Maintain accurate operational data, documentation, and reports for reviews, audits, and donor requirements.
- Share regular operational updates and insights with the Regional Head.
- Support planning and execution of internal leagues, matches, tournaments, and special programs.
- Coordinate logistics and ensure SOP compliance for outstation events and travel.
- Implement Hi5 SOPs consistently across centres and identify operational gaps for improvement.
- Support induction, training, and on-ground mentoring of new managers or staff.
- Demonstrate strong on-ground execution, people management, clear communication, problem-solving ability, high integrity, and a child-first mindset.
- Responsible for accurate tracking, verification, and timely updating of team attendance.
- Preferably bring experience from sports operations or the NGO sector, with willingness to travel and a passion for grassroots sports development.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Sports Management, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in sports operations, education programs, or NGO sector in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and data tracking.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple teams, stakeholders, and field-based environments.
