Role: Manager/Assistant Manager - New Business & Strategic Outreach (BFSI Comms)
Location: Mumbai
Background Preferred: Consulting / BFSI marketing / Corporate Communications
Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic professional to drive revenue growth for the Financial Services SBU by converting identified opportunities into qualified pitches and mandates.
This role requires structured outreach, relationship building, and high-impact pitch presentations with senior stakeholders across the BFSI ecosystem. It is a front-facing, revenue-driving role that works closely with leadership and internal teams to win new business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Outreach
- Lead warm and cold outreach to senior stakeholders including:
- CMOs
- Corporate Communications Heads
- Founders
- Business Heads
- Build and nurture relationships within the BFSI ecosystem.
- Track movements across the PR and communications landscape, including changes in leadership roles such as CMOs and Corporate Communications Heads.
- Activate and leverage leadership networks through industry events and LinkedIn engagement.
2. Pitch Development & Presentation
- Lead the creation of customized pitch decks and proposals for prospective clients.
- Build a compelling differentiation narrative highlighting tools, analytics, and sector expertise.
- Independently develop proposals and communication strategies for BFSI clients.
- Generate sector-led creative ideas and campaign approaches.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams across strategy, creative, and client servicing.
3. Conversion & Revenue Accountability
- Track the pitch funnel and support the NBD Head through stages including:
- Introductory meetings
- Proposal submissions
- Commercial negotiations
- Final closures
- Work closely with finance and legal teams for agreement closure.
- Collaborate with the NBD team to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
Required Skills
- Strong storytelling and narrative-building ability
- Excellent presentation presence and confidence
- Understanding of the BFSI communications landscape
- Strong PowerPoint and pitch deck development skills
- Ability to structure commercial proposals
- Relationship-building mindset
- Strong follow-up and stakeholder management discipline
- Expertise in pitch design tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Gamma, etc.
Preferred Skills
- Existing network within the BFSI sector
- Experience pitching retainers and winning new mandates
- Exposure to integrated communications campaigns
- Understanding of the digital and influencer ecosystem
- Knowledge of regulatory sensitivities within BFSI
